1.  The Club shall be known as the Borough Green Badminton Club.

 

2.  The Committee shall consist of Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, Match Secretary and 2 other members.  Three shall form a quorum.

 

3.  The Annual General Meeting of the Club shall be held in June, July, August or September at the discretion of the Committee.  The Committee shall be elected at the AGM.

 

4.  A special general meeting may be called at any time by the Committee, or by the Secretary on the request of five members.

 

5.  The quorum for a General Meeting shall consist of eight or more members.

 

6.  The Committee shall be entitled to accept or refuse membership of the Club, and are empowered to limit the total Club membership if necessary.

 

7a.  All members shall pay a membership fee.  The amount of the fee and method of payment shall be determined at the Annual General Meeting.  In exceptional circumstances, the Committee are empowered to increase the fee between Annual General Meetings after consultation with the membership.

 

7b.  Visitors will be allowed to play at the discretion of the Committee.  No visitor will be allowed to play more than six nights per season.  The fee for visitors shall be determined at the Annual General Meeting.

 

7c.  The Committee may arrange friendly matches and arrange membership of a league subject to sufficient support.  League and friendly match fees shall be set at the Annual General Meeting.

 

7d.  The Treasurer shall collect all subscriptions, match fees and visitors fees and put them in a Bank or Building Society account in the name of the Club.  These fees and all interest accruing shall be applied solely to the benefit of the Club.

 

8.  The Committee shall be empowered to deal with any matter arising which is not covered by these rules.

 

9.  Any proposed alteration or amendments of the Rules of the Club shall be carried by at least two thirds of the votes of members present.
